Compton is a great place to live, work, and raise a family. It is home to almost 100,000 citizens. Known as the “Hub City” because of its unique position in almost the exact geographical center of Los Angeles County, Compton is strategically located along the Alameda Corridor, a passageway of 25 percent of all U.S. waterborne international trade. Compton is rapidly emerging as a large industrial center in Los Angeles County for transit and distribution, business services, high technology, home and lifestyle products, metals, financial services, and textile manufacturing.

Grand Opening - Harold and Belle's Restaurant

Harold & Belle’s is set to open its newest restaurant in Compton, CA, Monday, April 23, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. and the public is invited to attend the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. Harold & Belle’s To Geaux will be located at 855 West Victoria Boulevard and will serve the entire Gateway, South Bay and Harbor regions.

The Successor Agency formerly known as the Community Redevelopment Agency has partnered with ANR Industries to purchase previously foreclosed homes that have been rehabilitated. These homes will be sold to income-qualified families.

Preferential and Guest Parking Permits

It’s time to renew your preferential parking and guest permits. Your current permits expire on 12/31/2011. Bring in your current permits along with the required documents (listed below) to receive you new permits. p>Please complete the included application and return it to us by January 16, 2012 days to avoid the issuance of citations for expired permits.
