The Five-Year Consolidated Plan is part of the City’s grant application to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The plan establishes a framework of housing, community and economic development priorities for Compton’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) programs over the next five years. The One-year Action Plan then allocates funding to specific programs and projects for a given year. The Action Plan will appropriate CDBG, HOME, and ESG funds to specific programs and projects for the 2020-2021 fiscal year. The City anticipates receiving approximately $9.5 million in federal housing and community development funds over the next 5 years to implement programs and projects that benefit low- and moderate-income residents.
