Job Search and Placement
Have been unemployed for an extended period of time? We may be able to assist you in planning and conducting your job search effectively. We may be able to connect you with potential employers, according to your occupational interest and skill level.
Career Planning
Unsure of what career interests you? We may be able to help. Employment Specialists are available to assist you in developing a career plan that will address your career interests and current work history.
Job Training or Skill Upgrade
Lacking skills? We may be able to help you attain marketable skills.
SELF-DIRECTED SERVICES
CareerLink partners, along with many agencies will provide a variety of resources to job seekers. Resources available to customers on a self-directed basis include:
- Job Search Tools - Internet Access, Copy & Fax Machine, Telephone Bank, Resume creating programs, TTY, Handicap accessible computer and services.
- Free Workshops - Job Search and other related workshops.
- CalJobs Registration - California's data base of job openings.
- Positive Recruitments - Employers recruit qualified applicants on site.
- Periodicals, Books, Videos and Newspapers - Resources to assist you in your job search.
- Current Job Listings and Recruitments - Job announcements updated daily.
- Labor Market Information - Links to internet websites and other reference materials.
- Community Resources and Information - Referrals to local community agencies
