Beautification Committee
(11 members—4 year terms )
No Stipend
Act in an advisory capacity to the City Council on matters and means to promote, encourage and recognize efforts and investments to beautify the visual and architectural image of the City and community.


Block Club Commission
(9 members—4 year terms)
Stipend $20 per month
Act as an advisory body to the City Council to organize, coordinate and oversee new Block Clubs. Attend Block Club meetings to keep the Council informed of Block Club meetings and activities.


Commission for Women
(15 members—4 year terms)
Stipend $25 per meeting—max $50
Advise the City Council of the needs and problems of the women in the City. Recommend programs that will provide women in the City a greater opportunity and ability to pursue alternative life styles without discrimination.


Commission on Aging
(5 members—4 year terms)
Stipend $20 per meeting
Act as an advisory Commission to the City Council and advise the City Council in all matters pertaining to community needs for the elderly.


Disabilities Commission
(9 members—4 year terms)
Stipend $20 month
Act as an advisory to the City Council and advise the City Council in all matters pertaining to community needs for the disabled.


Employment & Training Advisory Council
(7 members—4 year terms)
Stipend $20 per meeting—max $40
Act as an advisory body to the City Council to provide a citizen review of all manpower related proposals submitted by or to the City for review.


Federal Grants Advisory & Appeals Board
(9 members—4 year terms)
Stipend $50 per month
Act as an advisory body to the City Council to review all grant proposals, including the progress reports of proposals and applications under preparation.


Housing Advisory & Appeals Board
(5 members—4 year terms)
Stipend $50 per meeting
To hear and decide appeals of orders, decisions or determinations made by the Building Official relative to the application and interpretation of the Housing Code.


Oversight Committee
(5 members—4 year terms)
Stipend $150 per month
Act as an advisory to the City Council and advise the Council of the needs and concerns of the City’s Boards, Commissions and Committees. Monitor all meetings of the City’s Boards, Commissions and Committees.


Personnel Board
(5 members –4 year terms)
Stipend $20 per meeting—max $40
$60 per hearing—max $280
Ensures an impartial and independent review of personnel matters.


Planning Commission
(5 members—4 year terms)
Stipend $150.00 per month
Serves as an advisory body to the City Council on land use matters, including review of development plans for consistency with the General Plan, Zoning Ordinance and Sign Ordinance, review of Special Permits, Conditional Use Permits and variances.


Public Safety Commission
(7 members—4 year terms)
Stipend $20 per meeting—max $40
Act as an advisory commission to the City Council to make recommendations to the Council regarding public safety concerns that have been brought to the attention of the Commission.


Recreation Commission
(5 members—4 year terms)
Stipend $20 per meeting—max $40
Act in an advisory capacity to the City Council in all matters pertaining to playgrounds and entertainment.


Youth Commission
(11 members—4 year terms)
Stipend $20 per meeting—max $40
Advise the City Council in all matters pertaining to community needs for the youth.
