55 ALIVE
Receive discount on your car insurance by attending 55 Alive Classes, scheduled periodically. Cost is $10.00 for a two-day class (8 hours). Next class is scheduled for June 26 & 27, 2006, 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m.
INFORMATION AND REFERRAL
Information & Referral Services are provided on a call-in, walk-in, and appointment basis to seniors with questions and concerns regarding a variety of public, private and civic service agencies.
NUTRITION
This service is provided by Dickison Lighted Schools Nutrition Program. Lunch is provided Monday through Friday at 11:00 a.m. for senior citizens 62 years of age or older for a small donation. Meals-On-Wheels are available to the critically ill and/or homebound. For information call (310) 637-6971 or (310) 900-0229.
TAXI VOUCHERS
Dial-A-Tax provides services for Compton residents, disabled individuals at least (18) years of age & senior citizens, age 55 and older only. You have to prove your residency with Id or DL, utility bill w/your name on it, ss card/med card, etc. By appointment only 9:00 a.m. ~ 4:00 p.m. Monday thru Thursday at (310) 605-5694.
INCOME TAX SERVICE
Service available February 1, 2007, thru April 11, 2007 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., (Tuesdays only) appointments only.
