Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re‐Housing Program

The Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program (HPRP) established by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act provides substantial new resources to communities that can be used for homelessness prevention and rapid re-housing assistance. HPRP is targeted at providing temporary financial assistance, housing relocation and stabilization services to individuals who are on the verge of becoming homeless due to a recent job loss, inability to gain employment, or the result of some other life altering incident. The City of Compton has received funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to provide assistance for Compton residents. If you are in need of assistance, please complete the application and submit with appropriate documentation to the Planning and Economic Development Department, 205 South Willowbrook Avenue, Compton, CA 90220.
