Upcoming Street Closure Next to the Blue Line Vernon Station
Starting on Thursday, October 12th through Sunday, October 15th from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Union Pacific Railroad will be conducting track work next to the Blue Line Vernon Station and will temporarily close Vernon Avenue to east and westbound vehicle traffic. As an alternate, please use either 48th or 41st Streets to bypass this area. Blue Line Service at Vernon Station will remain open during this time.

Metro’s 2nd Annual Older Adult Transportation Expo
Metro’s 2nd Annual Older Adult Transportation Expo presented by On the Move Riders Program will be taking place on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Union Station Ticketing Concourse. This free event will provide older adults with the essentials of riding public transportation through informational and one-on-one sessions with Metro and several other transit partners in LA County.
