The mission of the Compton Municipal Water Department is to provide customers with an ample supply of wholesome, potable water at a reasonable price, essential to maintaining public health, economic vitality and community well being.

 

Our Commitment

 

The Compton Municipal Water Department is a dedicated team of professionals is committed to bringing an ample supply of safe, pure water into your home. The water delivered to your home comes from two sources. Some of the water (about 50%) is pumped locally from deep wells, and the remaining supply is purchased from Metropolitan Water District (MWD).

Compton’s well water must meet rigid standards set by the State Health Department. By the time it reaches your home or place of business, the water has been treated and thoroughly tested for organics, pesticides and bacteria. An independent laboratory approved by the State performs this testing. The Compton water supply consistently meets or exceeds the State’s exacting requirements.
