Post Date:03/10/2026 7:14 AM

The City of Compton is proud to celebrate Women’s History Month throughout the month of March by recognizing the achievements, leadership, and contributions of women who continue to shape the community. This annual observance provides an opportunity to honor the impact of women in business, public service, education, and community leadership while highlighting their role in the city’s continued growth and progress.

As part of this celebration, District 1 Councilmember Deidre M. Duhart co-hosted a Women’s Tea Celebration with Compton's Recreation Department and the City's Commission on Aging.  The event was held at the Dollarhide Community Center on Wednesday, March 11.

Seniors enjoyed dressed in their finest attire while enjoying tea, a light meal, and a few games of Bingo.
