Establishing water service is easy!
Come down in person and a Customer Service Representative will be happy to walk you through the process to establish a new account. Or you can just email your information to cwdcd@comptoncity.org. Once your account is setup, we will email you your account information and you will need to go online to pay the prepayment. Once our Customer Service staff has verified payment then your water service will be turned on. Our online bill pay website accepts Checks, Debit (Visa or MasterCard), and Credit Card (MasterCard only) so you can set up your account right away.
Operating Hours: 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Mon-Thurs. City Hall is closed every Friday.

- Emergency Contact Person
- Landlord's name, address and telephone number (if renting)
Deposit: Residential water service requires a minimum Pre-payment of $200, It is not refundable until the account is closed. The minimum Pre-payment for Fireline and Landscape accounts is $200 but is not refundable until the account is closed. Multi-Family, Commercial, Industrial, and Institutional water service requires a minimum Pre-payment of $300, which will remain with the account until it is closed or becomes delinquent.
Setup Time
Previously Occupied Home: If you are moving into a previously occupied home, we recommend calling at least two days before you would like service started so we can turn the water on if necessary.
Brand New Home: If you are moving into a brand-new home, we may need an extra day or two to create a new account for the home.
