Compton's Public Information Office (PIO)

Welcome to the City’s Public Information page. This page serves as a central hub for official City news, public notices, media resources, and community updates. Our goal is to ensure residents, businesses, and stakeholders have timely, accurate, and transparent information about City programs, services, meetings, and initiatives.

The Public Information Office works closely with City departments, the City Manager’s Office, and elected officials to communicate clearly and consistently with the public. We are committed to open government, community engagement, and keeping the public informed about matters that affect daily life in our City.

What is Public Information?

Public Information refers to the accurate, timely, and accessible communication of government activities, decisions, and services to the public. At the municipal level, public information ensures residents understand how their local government operates, how decisions are made, and how to access City services and resources.

Public Information supports transparency, accountability, and trust between the City and the community by making information easy to find, easy to understand, and available to everyone.
