Public Works Street Maintenance
Mission
- The Street Maintenance Division is a division of the Public Works department and is responsible for maintenance of roadways, sewers, and streetscapes through planned and regular investments in the City’s infrastructure.
Core Services
- Establish a fully operating, effective and efficient customer service reporting system.
- Ensure that pothole repairs, graffiti removal and bus stop maintenance are completed within defined levels of service.
Street Maintenance Division
The major responsibility of this division is to maintain public facilities and provide safety for residents, businesses, and public. These services include: maintaining sidewalks, streets and curbing; repairing street potholes; and responding to service requests generated from the public and other City departments. This work includes signs and marking, street trees, alleys, traffic signals, street lights, the sewer collection system, and storm drain system. Additional services include emergency response to accidents and incidents in the City’s rights-of-way and streets, asphalt repair, removal of illegally dumped trash, parkway and shoulder repair, street sweeping, graffiti removal, and the support of special events.
