Title: Compton Blvd and Wilmington Ave Over Compton Creek Bridge Replacement Projects

Description: The City of Compton is working in conjunction with LA County Public Works to replace the bridges on Compton Blvd and Wilmington Ave over the Compton Creek.

Both bridges are classified as structurally deficient due to due condition of reinforced concrete decks. The decks are rated at “imminent failure” because of extensive cracking and delamination. Both bridges also are posted for vehicle weight restrictions due to load rating of the bridge decks. In addition, City request to reconsider adding bike facilities.
