The Compton Redevelopment Agency, now known as The Successor Agency, was created in 1967 to bring redevelopment to the City of Compton. Initially, the agency was responsible for several project areas, and in 1991 these areas were merged to create the Compton Redevelopment Project Area. Approximately 2,635 acres are encompassed by the Redevelopment Project Area. The following table represents the history of the Agency’s project areas and eventual merging into one area.
Please note that the Agency is currently undergoing an amendment to the current project area and is in the process of expanding its project area. A new map will be available after amendment has occurred.
