Compton Urban Book Expo Puts Authors in the Spotlight

COMPTON – Featuring over 40 published authors, live musical and spoken word performances, a children’s corner and literacy workshops, the Compton Urban Book Expo will take place on Sat., Mar. 19 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Douglas F. Dollarhide Community Center in Compton located at 301 N. Tamarind Avenue. Hosted in partnership with District 4 Councilmember Emma Sharif, the City of Compton’s Parks and Recreation Department and KLIQ 1670 AM, the Compton Urban Book Expo is family friendly and free to attend.
