Clean-Up Los Angeles County Campaign

Mayor Aja Brown and the Compton City Council have teamed up with Active Recycling to promote “Clean Los Angeles County,” a campaign aimed at providing free disposal of unwanted materials for Los Angeles County residents, reducing the amount of debris on curbs and in alleys and public spaces, and making the City of Compton cleaner and more attractive. Starting today, Compton residents are encouraged to take advantage of this program which allows you to dump 1 (one) load of up to 1/4 or 500 lbs of bulky trash or greenwaste for free at Active Recycling Company.

Items Accepted Include:
Old mattresses
Old sofas
Household appliances
Car and truck tires
Construction debris
Concrete, rocks, dirt
Shed/patio demolition
Wood and brush
Landscape trimmings

Active Recycling will accept ONE (1) load (the 1st load) of trash and/or green waste for FREE per customer/vehicle during the Clean Los Angeles County Campaign. The free trash offer applies to a pick-up truck, a small stakebed truck, a small box truck, a van, a car or a small pull trailer. Second and future loads will be charged at the regular trash drop off rate.

The only items NOT accepted are liquids, hazardous materials, food waste.
