After 15 years of public service, including seven years with the City of Compton, he chose to run for public office in 2021 to help put action to words in our community. Treasurer’s Office Operations
The City Treasurer shall be the custodian of all public funds belonging to or under the control of the City of Compton, or of any office, department or agency thereof. The City Treasurer’s Office takes a best practices approach to money management based on state law and prudent fiscal forecasting and analysis. The City Treasurer is responsible for all cash operations, including banking, managing the City’s cash liquidity and achieving a reasonable rate of return while minimizing risk. The Treasurer oversees $100+ million cash investment portfolio, including the $30+ million Employee Pension Tax and $20+ million Successor Agency Funding.
